Social Media Executive

Salary: £32,000 per year
Location: Manchester (Hybrid, 2 days per week in our city centre office, flexible hours available)
Applications close: Fri 24th Oct 5pm

About us

69% of employees say their manager has more impact on their mental health than their therapist or their doctor. So, imagine the world we could create if every manager used that impact to inspire, uplift and empower.

We’ve trained thousands of managers worldwide, partnered with global brands and built a community of ambitious leaders who constantly push for better.

We’re putting an end to toxic management, and we’re looking for a social media obsessive to help take our work even further. Join a growing company that’s rewriting how leadership is taught, talked about and shared online.

About the role

We’re looking for a Social Media Executive who can take our online presence to the next level.

You’ll play a huge role in shaping how both our Founder, Heather Elkington and Fresh Leadership World show up online, building a socials presence people connect with, trust and want to be a part of.

Your focus will be on creating content that drives conversations and builds community.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan, edit and post content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube alongside our founder, Heather.

  • Keep your finger on the pulse of trends, and adapt them to our tone, purpose and audience

  • Engage with our community: reply, connect, and make people feel seen

  • Track analytics to understand what’s working and continuously improve

We move quickly and hold ourselves to high standards, but we also look out for one another. You’ll have space to experiment, learn, and take ownership of projects that matter

Requirements

No formal qualifications or years of experience required. We care more about what you can do than what’s on your CV.

This role may be for you if you:

  • Have editing skills (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar) and an eye for storytelling through video.

  • Know your way around social platforms. Eg. You understand there’s a difference between TikTok vs LinkedIn, and you enjoy testing, learning, and adapting.

  • Are excited by an obsessive, creative environment where things evolve quickly

  • Want to grow your skills as part of a small, supportive, high-performing team

The fun stuff

  • Monthly ClassPass membership
  • 4pm finish every Friday
  • Flexi time available (work your 7 core hours any time between 7am-7pm)

What to expect (our  3-Step hiring process)

We believe hiring should feel fair, transparent, and human for everyone who applies.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Pitch entry
To apply, send us a short video or written pitch to careers@freshleadershipworld.com – whichever format feels most you.
Optional extras: portfolio, case study, CV, examples of previous editing/social work or explain how you live up to our core values
Please note, due to the sheer number of applications, we cannot always provide personalised feedback at this stage (Although we will do our best to!)
  2. Online chat
If selected, you’ll be invited to a 20-minute virtual call with our team so we can get to know you and answer any initial questions both parties have (we’ll prep you more for this nearer the time).
  3. Final interview & creative task
After the Stage 2 review, you’ll join us in person for a 60-minute, final interview with our Founder and Marketing Manager, alongside completing a 45-minute creative editing task with a piece of our old content. You’ll be given all the tools you need for this on the day.

Our hiring commitments:

  • We use bias-removal tools in our application review process to help us focus on skills, creativity and alignment – not background or personal details.
  • We know how much effort goes into this process from your side, so you’ll always hear from us at every stage within 1 week, whether it’s a yes or a no we won’t leave you hanging.
  • Any work created during the task section will be wiped from our system within 48hrs post-interview, and will not be used in any of our social content or strategy.
